Balsamic Toffee Strawberries

Directions

1Rinse strawberries and pat dry with paper towel. Leave stems on. Insert toothpick through top of each strawberry.

2Line a tray with wax paper.

3Combine water, sugar and OIL WELL Strawberry Balsamic in small saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves then increase heat for the mixture to come to full boil.

4Without stirring allow to boil for 5-10 minutes until mixture reaches hard crack stage. (300 degrees F) To tell if mixture has reached the hard crack stage, drop a drop into a cup of cold water. If drop hardens immediately it is ready.

5Remove from heat. Holding the strawberry by toothpick quickly dip each strawberry into toffee mixture and coat evenly. Place on wax paper to harden.

6If the mixture begins to harden place saucepan back on heat until it turns back to liquid. Be careful not to let it burn.

7Let strawberries cool and serve immediately.

1 pint fresh strawberries

1/3 C water

1/2 C + 1 t Sugar

2 T OIL WELL Strawberry Balsamic
